Pulp Therapy for Kids in West Jordan

What Pulp Therapy Is
When a cavity or injury reaches the soft inner pulp of a tooth, it can cause pain, sensitivity, and infection. Pulp therapy removes the affected tissue, disinfects the tooth, and seals it, usually followed by a crown to protect it.
How We Keep It Comfortable
It sounds intensive, but for your child it's a calm, comfortable visit.
- 1
Numb fully
We completely numb the tooth so there's nothing to feel.
- 2
Treat the pulp
We remove the affected tissue and disinfect the inside of the tooth.
- 3
Seal it
We fill and seal the tooth to keep infection out.
- 4
Often a crown
A crown usually goes on top to protect the tooth long-term.

Why Saving the Tooth Matters
Treating the tooth instead of removing it keeps your child's bite intact, preserves space for the adult tooth, and avoids the discomfort of an untreated infection. It's the gentlest way to relieve pain while protecting your child's developing smile.
When & Who It's For
Ongoing tooth pain, sensitivity to hot or cold, or swelling can be signs that decay has reached the nerve. If your child has these symptoms, our toothache care can help right away. Children with a deep cavity or a dental injury that has reached the nerve are the typical candidates, on both baby teeth and young permanent teeth.
We'll get your child out of pain gently, and save the tooth so their smile keeps developing on track.
