A new standard of comfort

Our Southpoint office is brand new, built from the ground up around kids and families. That means modern, comfortable technology, a friendly environment, and a team with years of experience helping children feel at ease in the dental chair.

We're gentle, we're patient, and we genuinely care about every child who walks through our doors, from a baby's first visit all the way through braces.

Dr. Wendy Chu, Board-Certified Orthodontist

Dr. Wendy Chu

Board-Certified Orthodontist

Dr. Wendy Chu is a board-certified orthodontist with over two decades of clinical experience. After completing a Master of Science in Cancer Biology, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree as Class Valedictorian from Boston University and went on to complete advanced specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from The State University of New York at Buffalo. In 2026, we happily welcomed Dr. Chu to Wasatch Pediatrics, and she currently provides care for children and adults at our Southpoint Dentistry & Orthodontics office in West Jordan.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Chu embraces a whole-patient philosophy in her practice. She balances precision and evidence-based care with empathy, active listening, and thoughtful communication. She is known for taking the time to understand each patient's individual needs and providing personalized treatment plans and solutions that make families feel cared for and heard. Dr. Chu finds joy in the chance to be hands-on with each smile, building relationships with patients and their families, and witnessing the small victories that make each journey unique.

Born in China, Dr. Chu moved to Canada at a young age with her parents. Her experience shaped her resilience and deep appreciation for culture, family, and community. She later built her life in the United States with her husband and eventually in Utah, where their two daughters were born and raised.

Outside of work, Dr. Chu loves spending time with her family and friends, adventuring outdoors, and traveling. She enjoys rekindling her love of the piano and savoring moments in local coffee shops where she can relax and reflect.

Dr. Dan Linford

Dentist

Dr. Dan Linford earned a degree in biology from Brigham Young University and his dental degree from The Ohio State University, where he also completed a fellowship in pediatric dentistry. He brings years of experience caring for children with a gentle, patient approach.

That fellowship training means Dr. Linford is right at home with young patients, whether it's a toddler's very first checkup or an older child who feels a little nervous in the chair. He works at each child's pace, explains things in words they understand, and focuses on making every visit feel calm, comfortable, and positive.

Above all, Dr. Linford wants children to feel safe and cared for, and parents to feel informed and at ease. He believes that gentle, positive experiences early on help kids build healthy habits and confident smiles that last a lifetime.
